The project of the underground section of the Blue Line in Jerusalem is a unified LRT tunnel in one of the most dense areas in the country, in the heart of the Sanhedria, Mea Shearim and the Bukharan neighborhoods of Jerusalem.

The design management includes a 2 km long tunnel route, 3 portals, 3 underground stations using the NATM method with integrating C&C elements and connections, tunnel systems and a full upgrade of the at-grade area of the street above the route in the surrounding urban fabric. The project includes am international team, and was done in intensive stakeholder and statutory management to accommodate the new LRT section (and related works) within the special surroundings, while minimizing the risks for surrounding special structures for perservation in strong proximity, and considering problematic soil conditions
