|Road 383 Project -
TATAL 123

Project Status

Preliminary and Statutory Design

Owner

Trans Israel Highways (TRI)

Project Period

2020 – today

Budget

1.4 Billion NIS (350M Euro)

Design management for the expansion and rehabilitation of Road 383 for a total length of 20 km, including a new interchange on road 6 highway.

Road 383 crosses an intensive landscaping area of both environmental and cultural significance, but as a currently curved single lane road it greatly endangers its users, namely through the large volumes of trucks driving it.

The project includes the expansion and rehabilitation of the road to offer better safety measures and geometry while preserving its valuable surroundings, and considering its more intensive traffic forecasts.

The road is destined to be a part of a new west-east route in Israel, leading to the southern exit to Jerusalem.
